it’s spring!

In a tamarack, on an otherwise ordinary suburban street…

…there lived a lady robin. Or a family of robins. I’m not sure yet if she’s still building the nest, or if it’s been there for a while and there might be *gasp! squee!* tiny blue eggs or bald little baby bird-things without feathers. I don’t want to bug my new neighbours with my spying, and anyway, I don’t have an A-frame ladder to climb up there to peek.

If the nest has been there for a while, it’s survived about 5 days worth of winds gusting up to 100 km/h and several branches coming loose from that tamarack.

If the nest is new…. *squee!*
